Over lunch, my mom casually asked if I knew Into the Wild, and I mumbled, yeah I heard Pat talk about it one time, but I haven't watched it. And lo and behold, HBO shows it after our lunch. And it was a good moment because my mom and I watched it together, and somehow, I think she was able to relate.
I just feel that after three years, I need to stop looking for appendages and live life, get to know people. I'd like to die in Dumaguete's charm, or someplace like it.
Can't go to daguldol, have to take the Civil Service Exam on the 26th, but it's ok. :) I chose to take it for back up purposes.
And as I was talking about the global economy in our planning theory class, i figured that uplanders can never perpetually be uplanders, they have to go down and anger themselves through the plains.
I remembered Dharma Bums by Kerouac in the movie. I miss reading those kinds of books and researching about them.
