Lately, people I am currently working with, either from the main job here in MSI or some raket that was passed on to me, are asking me to link them with other NGOs, and/or provide me with more raket. I must say, the circle and network is getting bigger, and interestingly, they come from funding agencies, NGOs and the academe.
I found it hilarious when a JICA staff texted me out of the blue asking, "Do you know the contact number of Conservation International?"
I left the business card of the Executive Director at home, but managed to find CI's landline on the net. I forwarded it to him and asked what he needed it for. He just replied, "Need it for another biodiversity mission. Thanks ha?" I don't know if it's indecent, or if this will be the start of another link. haha
Next week, I'm going to work for Haribon, and even if things got a little bit murky with them two months ago, I decided that I still wanted to push through with what I started before. And so, I'm headed off to Cavite for a writeshop on the Sustainable Forest Management Bill Haribon has been lobbying for. Lo and behold, the facilitator is someone who Sir Leland referred me to last week for another raket (that did not push through).
Everything's going great. Hope I don't burst the bubble.
